My favorite use for woven spheres in the garden is to add natural nesting materials for birds and hanging the sphere where I can see it from my kitchen window. Being able to watch many different species of birds select nesting materials makes doing the dishes way less tedious. Best materials include: Seed Fluff (especially cattail, milkweed, asters, goldenrod, fireweed), dried grasses and sedges (seeds included), moss and lichen, tiny twigs etc. Don’t use synthetic material, don’t purchase nesting material, it’s all around you!
